Night Train/ Why Does Everything Happen To Me

Following hot on the heels of the Mar-Keys' astonishing "Last Night" the year before, this recording was "instrumental" (sorry about that) in paving the way for the sound that became known as funk. With its staccato syncopated beats and short sharp strokes, "Night Train" was a major stepping stone in 1960's soul music. Credited to "James Brown And The Famous Flames." Note: This copy comes in a vintage King/Federal Records factory sleeve. The B label has light ringwear and small pencil writing on it. The vinyl has very light surface noise.
