Pata Pata/ The Ballad of the Sad Young Men

Makeba was a black singer from South Africa, and this enchanting number is in an African folk music style. Certainly not reggae, but I don't have a World category. :-) Except that it's obviously not Paul Simon singing, this number would sound right at home on Simon's classic Graceland album. Incidentally, Makeba was married to fellow South African Hugh Masekela from 1964-66, and she married political activist Stokeley Carmichael in 1968.
