Rip Van Winkle/ (I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons

This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the collection. This terrific doo-wop classic was originally released in 1961 on Delta 1001, but fell on deaf ears. This is the rarely seen 1962 release on Roulette, which likewise flopped at retail and radio. Finally, Roulette released it again in 1964 on catalog #4541, and it finally cracked the U.S. Top 40. Truly wonderful and silly, featuring a sound echoed in 1963 in the Ran-Dells' hilarious "Martian Hop". Note: This beautiful copy grades a solid Near Mint all around (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).
