This is a copy of the 1970s pressing on the orange Capitol label. This iconic Christmas tune was originally released in 1954 on Capitol 2955 and again in 1960 on Capitol 3561, when it finally charted. This is the version recorded with the Nelson Riddle orchestra. Of course, back in 1946, Cole had a top 10 hit with "The Christmas Song" on 78 rpm Capitol 311. This is probably the most-familiar version.
