The Girl Is Mine

This is a new, unplayed Stereo/Mono promo copy, in its original picture sleeve. The picture sleeve is designed for the promo, with "Demonstration--Not For Sale" printed on the back (see scan). Odd as it may seem now (to me, at least), this somewhat schmaltzy duet with Paul McCartney was the debut single from Jackson's massively popular "Thriller" album. I mean, yes, it was a hit, but why strut it forth ahead of "Billie Jean" or "Beat It"? Must've been part of the contract with McCartney. :-) This is the first promo release, with a 3:41 track and matrix number ZSS 169138. A later promo has a 3:32 edited version. Note: Aside from a tiny bit of "bubbling" on one label, this beautiful promo copy is pristine Mint.
