The World Owes Me A Lovin'/ I'm Coming To Your Rescue

This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the collection, in its original Okeh Records factory sleeve. This rare single is sought after for "I'm Coming To Your Rescue," which Kev Roberts includes at #361 in his list of the 500 greatest Northern Soul 45s. Oddly, Okeh 7291 had two promo releases — one plugging the dance-hall favorite "Rescue" and the other plugging the tender ballad "The World..."; on each variant, the plug side has a large pink triangle on it. This is the version that plugs "The World...", which is somewhat less desirable than the rare alternative. Note: This beautiful 45 record would grade pristine Mint across the board, but there's some faint storage wear on the "Rescue" side label ("The World" side label is flawless) (see scan), so the label grade is Near Mint.
