This is one of the touchstones of psychedelic rock/soul... a song you never forget. This is the rare early release — a non-album single — that's actually a different recording than what became a hit a couple of years later on Columbia 44414. It's even shorter than the short (3:05) first edit release of that 1968 version. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Columbia Records factory sleeve. The labels look pristine Mint. The vinyl (styrene) looks only lightly touched, and the audio would grade Mint but for a second or two of light surface noise near the beginning.
