Westbound #9/ Why Don't You Stay

Here's a beautiful promo release for this big 1970 hit, one of the first Holland-Dozier-Holland production under their new names and labels. This single was released with two track lengths: 2:53, and 3:29 (although apparently some that say 2:53 are actually 3:29... go figure!). This promo has the longer version. By the way, for the Motown-related context for this song, as well as for good insight into the way Holland-Dozier-Holland extended their reach with tracks like this, check out this blog post. Note: This 45 record has stone Mint labels, and the audio sounds pristine as well. The vinyl (styrene) exhibits very light storage wear, grading Near Mint.
