Jam Up Jelly Tight/ Moontalk

Folks don't normally think of Tommy Roe as being particularly topical, but check out the flip side of this classic bubblegum 45... Neil Armstrong is among the players Roe mentions in this celebration of the Moon-crazy mood in the U.S.A. in 1969. This beautiful, nearly flawless copy comes in its original, ultra-cool (groovy!) picture sleeve (see scan). Speaking of picture sleeves, Tommy Roe is one prominent male artist who didn't seem to care for them ? getting his mug in the public eye through his 45 records was a rarity. Of more than 30 45 records released from the early 1960s through the early 1970s, only four that charted had picture sleeves: "Susie Darlin'" in 1962, "It's Now Winter's Day" in 1966, "Jam Up Jelly Tight" in 1969, and "We Can Make Music" in 1970. Note: This beautiful copy has Mint labels and pristine sound.
