Living Next Door To Alice

This is the first time I've heard this version, which I assume is the original. All I'd ever heard before was the somewhat sappy rendition by "Smokie" from later in the 1970's. Rather than sappiness, this recording is bright and peppy, with a to-die-for arrangement and wonderful Bubblegum hooks. A definite keeper! Jim Gold was the lead singer for the pop group Gallery, which explains why they appear in the label credits. Note: This promo copy has the same song on both sides. One side has a small "R" on it.
