White Christmas/ The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)

Yes, Bing Crosby's version was played every Christmas during the rock era, and it even got into the top 10 in 1957, but Andy Williams is the "White Christmas" chart king with this smash version from 1963. Andy's was #1 for five straight weeks during the 1963 Christmas season. It charted in late November, and probably served as some kind of salve on the Nation's broken heart following the tragic end of John F. Kennedy's "Camelot" era. This is a copy of the first pressing, on the orange Columbia label. This copy comes in a crispy Columbia factory sleeve.
