From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original factory sleeve. Ronstadt released this excellent version of Buddy Holly's classic in 1977, continuing a string of very successful pop singles based on covers of classic 1950's and 1960's tunes. It's interesting to note that Holly didn't actually have a chart hit with his original version.
