Why You Been Gone So Long

Stereo/Mono promo copy. This is an early single by singer/songwriter/guitarist Myron Lefevre, a lovely cover of a Mickey Newbury tune. Lefevre never achieved much fame with his solo recordings and is perhaps best known as the author of "Without Him", a gospl tune that Elvis Presley recorded for his "How Great Thou Art" LP. He also founded a southern-rock group that evolved into Atlanta Rhythm Section. After a drug overdose in the late 1970's, Lefevre converted to Christianity and now has his own ministry.
