Wabash Cannon Ball/ The Great Speckled Bird

After researching this one, I couldn't find any 45 rpm from Capitol that was released with these recordings prior to this 1964 reissue. The label says these were originally released in October 1955, and there was an EP from that time with "Wabash Cannon Ball" on it. I suspect these were album tracks that were released on a single after Acuff released newer versions of the songs under contract to Hickory Records in the early 1960s. In any case, here are two great performances of two true Country classics. This copy is on the red/white "target" label. Note: The label has very light ringwear.
