Juicy Fruit (Disco Freak) Pt. I/ Pt. II

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original factory sleeve. Here's another great single that somehow fell through the cracks on radio programmers' desks at the dawn of the Disco craze. It's great to hear Hayes singing, of course, but it's the guitar playing, background female vocals, and generally terrific, swinging beat that made me want to sock this in the jukebox pronto. Note: The flip is an extended instrumental version. Note 2: The "HBS" on Isaac's head on the label here stands for "Hot Buttered Soul," which was Hayes' short-lived 1970's label while he was at ABC.
