From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed Stereo/Mono promo copy, in its original, promo-only picture sleeve. This special 33 1/3-rpm, 7-inch promo release has the full 8:34 story of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter on both sides--once in Stereo, and then in Mono. Listening to it again today, I found myself filled again with anger at the unforgivable atrocities that Carter suffered at the hands of some of his fellow American citizens. You can hear the same anger in Dylan's voice as he tells the tragic tale. This copy also comes with a beautiful copy of the original, promo-only picture sleeve. (Some copies of the retail release also had the picture sleeve, but they didn't have "Demonstration/Not For Sale" printed on each side.)
