Both of these tracks are from Young's classic
After The Gold Rush album. I'll never forget hearing this song for the first time, and my reaction to Young's voice was something like, "Woah! Is this guy a Martian, or what?" I had a similar reaction a few years later upon hearing Joe Walsh's extraterrestrial vocal on "Rocky Mountain Way." Of course, they both sound perfectly normal to me now, and I'm OK with that. :-) According to some sources, the version of "Birds" on this 45 differs from that on the album; it's about a minute shorter, for one thing. Note: This beautiful copy has pristine labels and comes in a vintage Reprise Records factory sleeve. The A side audio isn't perfect, but it's beautiful and Near Mint with no distortion.
