The Way It Is/ The Wild Frontier

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original RCA factory sleeve. Man, this guy could not only play the piano to beat Elton John all to hell, but he could also write some mean protest lyrics! No, the message hadn't changed much from what Bob Dylan was trying to say in the early 1960's with tunes like "The Times They Are A-Changin'" and "Blowin' In The Wind," but it was really great to know that in the late 1980's American pop music could still support an artist who chose to rail against the status quo. And not only support him, but generate the sales and airplay to push that artist's tune to the top of the Bilozoard singles chart? I wonder if that's still true today, more than 30 years later? Note: This release is pressed on translucent black vinyl. The labels have a touch of storage wear.
