Formed by Randy Sparks of the New Christy Minstrels, the Back Porch Majority shows its pure folk side in a live recording on the A side, which incidentally is the group's only chart single. The B side, though, cowritten by Phil Ochs, has electric guitars and a complexity that only rock'n'roll undertakes... it's solidly in the Bob Dylan folk-rock genre.
