This was the female trio's first hit single, and features an opening rap by the Notorious B.I.G. and samples from the James Brown single "The Payback". Like other Tommy Boy singles from this era, this one was produced in collaboration with Collectables records of Pennsylvania. This single has the same "clean mix" on both sides.
