This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the

collection. This was Syl Johnson's first-ever chart single. The flip is a top-notch Northern Soul track. Incidentally, the "Twilight" label soon became "Twinight," with the same catalog number sequence. Also beware "promo" copies that do not have "D J Copy" on the label (see scan) but are merely white label knockoffs. Note: This gorgeous promo is not flawless — very few if any 45s are truly flawless — but
it has no notable flaws. In the real world where Classic 45s lives — where Mint means "New, like new, or nearly flawless" rather than "Flawless" — this is a Mint copy through and through. (If you're a die-hard Goldmine fan who believes that Mint = Perfect, please take a moment and read
our grading standards. Goldmine is not the only grading system in the world, and certainly not the best. You can't just redefine a word like "Mint" as Goldmine does. It's a perfectly good grade that's extremely useful for collectors, myself included. I like to know if a record is truly "new" rather than "lightly used.")
