This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the

collection, in its original Chess/Checker/Cadet factory sleeve. As great as the A side of this single is, it's the B side that Dave Marsh honors by including it in his list of the 1,001 greatest 45's. Of course, I rate "Tell Mama" 5 stars in my iTunes, which translates into a 2-star recommendation here. So I'd say this rare Mint promo copy of one of Etta James' very best singles is cause for celebration... Enjoy! Note: There are more than one of these promo beauties in the Louise Neal collection, but I haven't pulled them all together yet. This one is different in one small way from another copy I know I have: The phrase "D J Copy" appears only on the "Tell Mama" side of this copy, whereas the other has it on both sides. This copy has no noteworthy flaws, grading Mint across the board: Labels, Vinyl, Audio.
