Just A Taste/ Hello Trouble

Here's one of the very rare singles by this obscure but influential U.S. band from the late 1960's. This single has a brooding, psych-rock track on the A side (with the lead singer who, to me, sounds like a ringer for Guns'n'Roses lead singer Axl Rose), and a flip that showcases their country-rock chops. Kaleidoscope's sound was wide-ranging and hard to categorize, but always tasteful and masterful. A major influence in the band, and the band member with the most success in the 1970's, was the multitalented virtuoso David Lindley.
