This rare classic of late Psychedelic Rock features a majestic and mysterious Wall of Sound that's truly worship-worthy, and one that should make Phil Spector proud. King Crimson was a short-lived group led by avant-garde guitarist Robert Fripp and included Greg Lake (soon to be in Emerson, Lake & Palmer) as bassist and lead singer. This is only the second original pressing of this single I've had in the store since opening in 2001, and the first copy was a promo that didn't have the full and equally wonderful "Part 2" (clocks at 4:30) on the flip! Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Atlantic Records factory sleeve. The labels are close to Mint with only one or two faint signs of wear. The vinyl looks Near Mint, with just a hint of storage wear. The audio is hard to grade, because the A side grooves hide a few instances of light surface noise that's audible below the music, resulting in an audio grade of EX+ (strong side of Excellent, just below Near Mint). The B side, on the other hand, is a delightful Near Mint, with no notable surface noise that I recall. The overall audio grade is based on the A side.
