This classic Girl Group single features two great songs by Jeff Barry & Ellie Greenwich, produced in his inimitably dramatic (read: teen angst) fashion by Shadow Morton. Collector Nerd Alert: This pressing has IMHO the nicest typesetting and typography of the various that exist. Judging from the source of this collection, it's a West Coast pressing, true for the vast majority of this collection's 45s. And honestly, whoever was doing the typesetting there did a beautiful job on all labels that went through their shop. As a former typesetter (I was the guy that transitioned my org from typewriters to PCs), I really appreciate the care taken in choosing the fonts, font sizes, font weights, and text layout. Back in the 1960s, many record labels counted on typesetters at the pressing plant or on the way there to organize the information they provided for each label. That approach generally went away in the 1970s as a more consistent look was a desired goal not only from a branding standpoint, but also to achieve some efficency in production. Note: This beautiful stock copy has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl (styrene), Audio).
