Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da/ Autumn Leaves

Paul Desmond, the famous jazz saxophonist who wrote the classic "Take Five" that became a hit for Dave Brubeck, does a smashing job with this light-hearted Beatles number. I'm sure it's no coincidence that the hero of the tale is "Desmond," who after all "has a barrow in the marketplace" and falls in love with Molly, who "is a singer in the band." :-) Desmond must have felt the lyrics calling to him...!
