Call Me/ Go Head On

This was Montez' first single for A&M Records, the song courtesy of Tony Hatch (Petula Clark's producer and writer of most of her hits). What's most remarkable about this single is the self-penned flip side, which, in contrast to the laid-back, adult-oriented style that became his signature, is a delightful rocker in a Garage-Rock mold, with a bit of Buddy Holly thrown in.
