From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original Boardwalk Records factory sleeve. Wow... this group's a new one on me, and a delightful surprise indeed! With lead singer Carole Pope belting it out in an androgenous style and an attitude designed to stand out above the mundane, the band lets loose with two terrific rockers. That Rough Trade showed up on Joan Jett's new label is hardly a coincidence... it's a tribute to Jett and partner Kenny Laguna to have signed this group. It's only too bad they didn't make more of an impact.
