This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the
Louise Neal 45 Collection, in its original Atco Records factory sleeve. One of King's last singles for Atlantic Records (Atco in his case), this one might have had more success if the company had plugged the terrific uptempo B side, a marvelous slice of Northern Soul well worth seeking out, rather than the designated A side, "Katherine," which simply doesn't impress on first listen and can't match the distinctive number on the flip. By the way, in the U.S. this was a non-album single, with no contemporary LPs containing either song (an Atlantic LP with these tracks was released in the U.K. that year, however). Note: This beautiful promo 45 has labels and vinyl that exhibit faint storage wear, so we're grading them Near Mint. The audio itself sounds pristine.
