No Big Thing/ Yesterday's Lovers

This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the Louise Neal 45 Collection, in its original Chancellor factory sleeve. The A side is a surprisingly muscular outing for this group whose recordings for MGM generally had a lighter touch. This is more like Martha & the Vandellas than the Marvelettes. The flip is another worthy outing, in a mellower mood. The group recorded only two singles for Chancellor... this was the first. The second "Blue Summer" did "bubble under" the Bilozoard Hot 100 Singles chart to #121 in the fall of 1963. Note: This beautiful promo copy has pristine Mint vinyl and audio. The A label has a red-star "Plug Side" stamped on it (see scan).
