Border Song/ Bad Side of the Moon

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy with a drillhole, in its original factory sleeve. This was John's first U.S. chart single, though it barely scraped the top 100. Aretha Franklin's cover did much better. Also note the very powerful rocker on the B side with great orchestration by Paul Buckmaster; this is a non-LP cut... the first of many to be featured on Elton John 45's. The song did, however, appear on John's 1971 live album, 11/17/70.
