First Cut Is The Deepest/ You Can't Hear The Song I Sing

This track was originally written and recorded by Cat Stevens on his 1968 LP New Masters. (It had been a hit for former Ikette P.P. Arnold in the U.K. in 1967.) Rod Stewart had a top 40 hit with it in 1977. This 1973 version only got to #70, but it stayed on the Bilozoard Hot 100 for 13 weeks, so clearly it got more airplay than its chart peak would indicate. Note: This beautiful copy has looks untouched, and has pristine Mint audio!
