Go All The Way/ With You In My Life

I have a confession to make... Every time I hear this tune, all I think is, "Man, what would those crazies from 1956 who complained about Elvis' 'lewd' behavior think of a song like this one?" I mean, can you imagine a song that so openly appeals to the teenage male libido and to the fulfillment of every guy's fantasy about girls actually being aired when rock'n'roll was young? Honestly, nothing before it in top 40 radio came close. In truth, rock'n'roll has been about sex since it began in the black Rockin' RnB music of the late 1940's, and songwriters kept inching closer to radio taboos. With this power pop classic, Eric Carmen broke new ground in frank hornyness, and it's been uphill (downhill?) ever since.

Still, the best thing about the damn song is that amazing guitar intro. The song even starts with a climax! :-)

Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Capitol Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and nearly untouched-looking vinyl. The audio is Near Mint with light underlying surface noise.
