This is one of the records, along with some of the early Beatles and many others, that demonstrated one way that rockabilly transitioned into a musical form that became known as Power Pop. Absolutely essential single -- note that both Rolling Stone (#177) and Dave Marsh (#102) put it high on their respective lists of the greatest singles ever made. Great B side, too!
