From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original picture sleeve. Here's a beautiful copy of Springfield's biggest hit, which also happens to be his most memorable... And would be the best submission he could include to a nominating committee for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. :-) The 45 comes in a Near Mint copy of the record's picture sleeve, which by the way advertises Springfield to his "new" rock audience as "Dr. Noah Drake from 'General Hospital'!" "New?," you might ask? In 1981, Aussie-born Springfield was over 30 and already 9 years down a career that first garnered a Top 40 U.S. hit (his first) back in 1972 ("Speak To The Sky"), when he was 23 (already old by Rock Star standards). So even though he'd had 3 chart singles since 1972, he was still a virtual unknown as a Rocker in the U.S.... and therefore, "new." :-) Note: This copy has light storage wear that lowers the Label grade to Near Mint. The wax and audio are pristine, and the picture sleeve is nearly flawless!
