Yes, this was a cover of the Herman's Hermits smash, but according to this excellent writeup on Larry & the Blue Notes, Larry's version was first off the presses as a single in the U.S. The Herman's Hermits version was at that time available on only LP here. This single was released as by Larry Roquemore because the Texas band was under contract elsewhere.
