In addition to its classic hit side, this single's flip side, "Rain," is more enduring in some ways... it's one of the touchstones where a lot of modern power pop (e.g., Beck) gets its inspiration. Like many Beatles singles, neither of these tracks appeared on any contemporary Beatles album (they should have been on "Revolver"). Note: This copy rates a strong EX for the label and audio... just shy of M-, in other words. On the "Rain" side, the sleeve is near mint (as shown in the scan), but the "Paperback Writer" side has an old, small retail sticker on it and is rated EX.
