From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original factory sleeve... pristine Mint! This single was also released, more commonly, with 'Shu Ba Da Du Ma Ma Ma Ma' on the flip side. "Rock'N Me" was one of three #1 U.S. hits for Steve Miller  the others being "The Joker" in 1973/74 and "Abracadabra" in 1982. This release is particularly sought after because of the importance of "Living In The U.S.A" in Miller's catalog. The song was first released in 1968, but at that time it climbed only as high as #94 on the singles chart. It was released again in 1974, after "The Joker" was a hit, but it still didn't reach the Top 40  peaking at #49. The song deserved better airplay and sales, and regardless of its hit status, the song is still one of Steve Miller's best recordings. In my iTunes library, "Living" is a 5-star recording, meaning it's a top recommendation from Classic 45s (2 stars). As good as "Rock'N Me" is, all by itself the song would garner only 1 star. Note: This beautiful 45 record has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio). (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)
