Ticket To Ride/ Yes It Is

At #29, this is the highest-ranking Beatles single in Dave Marsh's list of the 1001 greatest singles ever made! It ranks in Rolling Stone's Top 500 list as well. However you rank it, one thing's for sure: It's one Beatles single that owners don't give up readily. Would you believe that since opening the store in late 2001 this is only the third original copy worth selling that I've had in the store? By the way, the labels refer to a movie, "Eight Arms To Hold You," that as I understand it became the movie "Help," in which the A side (but not the B) is featured. The B side later was included in one of the numbered Beatles LPs that Capitol put out (was it V or VI?), but one Wikipedia source indicates that it's a "reprocessed stereo" version — a type of recording to be avoided at all costs, in my experience! Note: This very nice copy comes in a vintage Capitol Records factory sleeve. It has Near Mint labels with almost no wear. The vinyl has enough scuffing to lower its grade to a strong EX. The audio matches that grade, as it sounds a touch worn at audio peaks. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)
