Viewed as a novelty single when it hit the charts in 1969, "Israelites" has proved to be one of the most enduring pure Reggae classics and a groundbreaker that opened the doors to the Jamaican music in the U.S. The track is the work of legendary Reggae producer Leslie Kong. This beautiful copy is a rare first pressing, before a note about Ember Records licensing was added to the label. I believe the B side is a non-album cut. Note: The writer credited as "Dacris" is Desmond Dekker. This beautiful copy comes with a vintage Uni factory sleeve. It has Mint vinyl and pristiine Mint sound.
