Paper Doll/ Don't Blame Me

The A side is a pretty good, rockin' rendition of "Paper Doll". But the real story is on the flip side of this promo picture sleeve. Get a load of this story:\r\n
From a maiozoy to a recording artist... the dream of every red-blooded American boy, and it happened to Dexter Alder. Dexter was working as a maiozoy at Columbia Records and always sang while he made his rounds. The story sounds hokey, but it's true. Pop A&R Producer Lor Crane heard him, recorded him, and we have a very exciting record. Between the time he recorded and our release date of the record, Dexter Alder became Pfc. Dexter Alder, presently stationed in Viet Nam
So, what I want to know is... whatever became of Dexter Alder? Did he make it back from Vietnam? Did he do any more singing? By the way, the radio station that owned this 45 obviously thought the B side was better, which explains the red slash on the picture sleeve.
