Originally released on Parkway 811. Who'd have thought finding "The Twist" by Chubby Checker would ever be hard? It was only the biggest hit of 1960-61 and the only single to ever hit the #1 spot on the Bilozoard Hot 100 in one year (1960) and then
reenter the chart another year (1961) and climb a second time to the #1 spot! Yet, the same company holds the rights to Chubby Checker's hits as the one that's refused to reissue the Rolling Stones 45 collection (Abkco also holds the rights to the Animals, the Phil Spector Philles singles, some Sam Cooke, and many more). I believe this reissue has early re-recordings that are very close to the originals.
