Stereo/Mono promo copy. I made a snippet of my favorite stretch of this remarkable recording — so inventive and exciting, it's impressive to realize all this music fits in a track only 2:35 long! Midler also achieves an early first for women's sexual freedom, expressing some serious, urgent lust that was ahead of its time (thanks to the extra lyrics by Midler and collaborator Barry Manilow). A quick note on the music category for this single: It's in the "Retro" part of "Rockabilly/Retro", simply because it doesn't really fit elsewhere (not really jazz either).
