This is a very nice promo copy from the

collection. I've been looking for this single at least since 1989, when I saw that Dave Marsh put its B side, "Dearest Darling," at #546 in his list of the 1,001 greatest singles (from his book "The Heart of Rock & Soul"). I finally found a copy! And not only do you get the side Marsh raves about, but "Hush Your Mouth" is a great rocker, too! Note: This 45 is among those in the Neal collection that probably saw some actual use, and sadly spent some of their life outside a protective sleeve. The 45s in this category typically have more noticeable storage wear (ringwear and scuffs/scratches), and the audio may not be pristine due to the imperfect grooves. In this case, the labels and vinyl grade a strong EX, reflecting some outer-ringwear (see scan) and light scuffing. You can hear some light surface noise at the beginning, but it is mostly inaudible thereafter; I would play this on the radio or at a dance... the audio is Near Mint, on the weak side.
