I Want You To Know/ The Big Beat

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original picture sleeve. Domino fans have to fight over the very few picture sleeves that were issued with his singles. This one's definitely worth the fight! It's absolutely mint, with no creases, ringwear, or other defects. As the sleeve makes clear (it's the same on both sides), "I Want You To Know" was Imperial's pick for the A side. Radio programmers saw it a little differently, though, no doubt partly because "The Big Beat" was being featured in a movie of the same name. The two sides ended up getting about equal airplay, although it's the original A side that is the enduring musical jewel on this single.
