You know, I hate to say it 'cause Ruth Brown is my all-time favorite 1950's female vocalist, but this is one she should have passed up. I imagine her just being a good trooper and giving it a go as the company wanted her to, but really... it's not worthy of her efforts. And the flip is a sped-up, new version of her classic 1952 hit. Still, if you haven't heard these, you'll probably not be able to resist the temptation to do so... It is, after all, still Ruth Brown at the mike. By the way, this was a non-album single. Note: This beautiful copy has a drillhole and comes in a vintage Atlantic Records factory sleeve. The vinyl looks untouched, and the audio is pristine Mint.
