Oongawa/ TV Commercial

This is a new, unplayed stock copy from the Louise Neal 45 Collection. This track has got to be heard to be believed — if you like Screamin' Jay Hawkins' sound this will sound familiar — so I've added a brief mp3 "snippet" to our jukebox... have a listen! The B side is another RnB romper that's well worth a visit. As far as I can determine, this is the only release on "CT Records, A Division of Aldo Records, Inc." Note: The Neal collection has several roughly identical copies, which after a deep cleaning have no storage wear to speak of — just beautiful, like-new copies. (Unlike the Goldmine grading system, we use the natural English meaning of "Mint" here, which is "New, like new." Our interpretation also aligns with the much more mature Comic Book grading system, which defines Mint as "Nearly perfect in every way." Goldmine's definition of Mint ("Absolutely perfect in every way") is an ill-considered standard that makes grading records harder than it should be. New is new. Nothing, even brand new, is "absolutely perfect", so why set such a bar? Customers want to know if they're buying new or used records. Mint in our system is a useful distinction worth making. In our system, "Near Mint" can then apply to new records with some minor imperfection worth noting, or to used records in nearly Mint condition. You can't do that with the Goldmine standards.)
