This single has a pair of terrific instrumentals released after Valens' death. The A side really lets him show off his guitar chops? quite a pyrotechnic display that makes you understand what a loss his death was to rock'n'roll. The sound is pure surf, by the way. I don't know the story behind this bit of trivia, but Del-Fi 4111 was originally released with "Arvee Allens" credited as the artist. That first pressing was made shortly before Valens' death, and the second pressing afterwards, with the same catalog number. Note: The B side has a small date written on it.
