In The Still Of The Nite/ The Jones Girl

This is truly one of the recordings that made rock'n'roll the phenomenon that it became. Coming smack in the middle of the year that the music blossomed on top 40 radio, it's indelibly etched into our collective cultural memory. Even with some surface noise, the audio sounds better than a clean reissue any day! :-) The B side is a terrific jump doo-wop number. This is a copy of the pressing with the multicolored Ember label... the one with the cool "burning logs" logo. Note that this copy's label has the rare "Special Demand Release" language, and uses the unusual, long title "I'll Remember (In The Still Of The Nite)".
