This is a new, unplayed stock copy from the

collection. What a beautiful love song the A side is, both lyrically and musically. The Del-Rios was a group in transition from Doo Wop to Soul, and the A side has elements of both (but ultimately, I decided it was an RnB vocal group number more closely). The flip is an unabashed, uptempo Doo-Wop dance number that's also well worth checking out. By the way,
William Bell started his career in the late 1950s with the Del-Rios, and he wrote this single's A side and sings as part of the group. (Bell had just recorded his first solo single for Stax, the classic "You Don't Miss Your Water", a few months earlier.) As far as I can determine, this is the only single the Del-Rios recorded on Stax (and was apparently the last single of their career). Note: This beautiful copy's labels have no notable flaws — grading pristine Mint (see scan). The vinyl exhibits faint storage wear, grading Near Mint. Surprisingly, after a deep clean, the A side audio retained a tiny amount of surface noise in a few locations, so that even though it's undistorted I have to grade the audio Near Mint. I don't recall hearing any surface noise on the B side, however.
